Arcade Types

First, you need to define what you're looking for:

A Bartop: A Bartop is a type of small arcade cabinet that sits on a piece of furniture or a specially designed stand.

It's normally (and I mean normally) less expensive than a single-unit cabinet because it requires fewer materials to build.

Again, you'll find all the prices here. The Bartop costs from €400 to €2,400, depending on where you buy it.

Arcade Machine :

Here again there are a multitude of types of terminals that I will classify in chronological order of price:

• Minis: Smaller than a classic arcade cabinet and requiring a bench to play, minis are slightly cheaper than classics (and I mean slightly).
• Classics: Classic arcade cabinets, which measure approximately 170 cm in height and 60 cm in width, are the middle ground in this ranking and in terms of price.
• XXLs: These cabinets can measure up to 180 cm in height and 90 cm in width, and are more expensive due to the materials they require and the possibilities they offer.
• Sitdowns: Arcade cabinets that are played seated, equipped with a large panel that can accommodate up to 4 players and a very large screen. In terms of price, sitdowns are the most expensive.

How much does it cost to buy an arcade machine?

An arcade cabinet can cost anywhere from €400 to over €3,000, depending on what you're looking for.

For a classic, new, high-quality, multi-game arcade cabinet (thousands of games), expect a price between €1,300 and €2,000, with an average price of €1,500.

However, you can get by for less (around €1,000) if you get your hands dirty and build your own arcade cabinet with an arcade cabinet kit.

But then you might ask, where can I find a cabinet for €400? For €400, it's possible to find used arcade cabinets or new mini arcade cabinets with around ten games. However, be careful, when I say mini, I mean 120cm high and 50cm wide, and the quality isn't always up to scratch.

With this budget you will have to either go for a used or a standard mini arcade machine, otherwise you can motivate yourself and build your own arcade machine by buying a wooden kit or a DIY arcade machine.
